Case study: stair to access accommodation
We were contracted to manufacture this stair which formed the main access to accommodation above a new restaurant and pub within the village of Glen Luce.
The stair treads were formed into pans to allow the filling with concrete.
The stair was to be the main fire escape hence it was manufactured from steel for fire retardant purposes.
The pictures below show it being jigged and fabricated within our workshop.
The client wanted the bottom step to have a bullnose so it looked like a traditional stair.
Once carpeted they wanted the stair to look traditional and not manufactured from steel.
