At ABL Fabrications Welding Engineers Ltd, we provide steel fabrication and welding services for commercial, construction and domestic projects. Based in Falkirk, our team works across Scotland and throughout the UK, with workshop and mobile capabilities for both light and heavy gauge metal fabrication.
Alongside larger structural and commercial work, our steel fabricators manufacture a broad range of bespoke metalwork. This includes gates, railings, handrails, balconies, security grilles and fencing, as well as automated gates and specialist projects. Our coded welders also provide mobile welding and fabrication for on-site repairs, plant repairs and projects where work needs to be completed away from the workshop.
Established in 2002, ABL Fabrications has developed from a gates, railings and general blacksmith business into a company capable of delivering a varied range of steel fabrication projects. Every job is different, so we take time to understand the specification, site requirements and intended use before work begins. Whether the project involves structural steelwork for a commercial development, architectural steelwork for a bespoke design or smaller-scale metal fabrication, our aim is to provide a high-quality result suited to the job.

Our fully equipped 3,000 sq ft workshop supports a wide range of structural steelwork and architectural steelwork projects. We can work from plans through fabrication and installation, producing steelwork for structures, extensions, stairs, platforms and bespoke requirements. Our Story and History
Blacksmiths, Welders & Steel Fabricators
Established in 2002, ABL Fabrications is a steel fabrication and welding company based in the Central Belt of Scotland, undertaking projects throughout Scotland and across the UK.
We specialise in structural steelwork, bespoke fabrication, commercial projects, wrought iron gates and railings, architectural metalwork and blacksmithing.
Over the years, we have built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service. From smaller bespoke fabrication projects to larger structural and commercial work, we provide practical solutions manufactured to a high standard.
All welders employed by ABL Fabrications are coded welders, certified to the relevant British and European standards.
In May 2016, our Weld Qualification Procedure Records (WQPR) and Factory Production Control procedures were successfully audited, achieving Execution Class 2. Our manufacturing processes meet the applicable UKCA requirements, where relevant.
Our History
ABL Fabrications was established in 2002 by our current director and owner, who was 24 years old at the time.
After starting the business, we were introduced by the local business enterprise to the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT). As the business was still in its early stages, the support provided by the Prince’s Trust proved invaluable.
Following the completion of a business plan and a series of interviews, the business successfully met the criteria for a Prince’s Trust small business loan, together with ongoing business support during the early years.
